    "Your PO is a fool"

He bought himself a shiny new Harley Sportster that he said was no where near as fast or fun to drive as the XJ. He was saving the XJ for his son but his son got thrown in jail and he needed the money to bail him out. He wanted $2500. I gave him $2000. Best 2K I ever spent!!!

Back to petcocks, I should have elaborated, mama always told me not to but here goes he actually told me that he tried to put a kit in them when they first started leaking, he still could not get them to quit leaking, he had one shop (not Yamaha) work on it and it started leaking again after a couple of weeks, after reading other comments here I realize that it was probably the kits used. Right now the levers are in the "res" position. I have not messed with them at all. I guess it wouldn't hurt to turn them to the "on" position just to see what happens.
I plan to do alot of maintenance this winter when it gets cold, (about 50 degrees here in Houston. First maintenance project will be to drop a line for my laptop in the garage so I can be on line on this site while working on it

Does anyone have a source and part number for a kit they used that seemed to work okay?

    Mama's always right isn't she

      Dragonrider -
I turned my petcocks on and left them for a day to see if the octopus would leak again. Still no leaks. Guess maybe I got lucky.
