    float height matching

I had a thought the other day. what if I took two 1/8" thick pieces of wood, cut them on my miter box (to get true 90 degree angles) to the correct float height, set one on each end of the carb set and then set a straight edge on top of them. Wouldn't this give me a correct reading if all the carb bodies are at the same level?

    Just a thought,

Yup, that could work. A while back, sombody made a "go:no-go" gauge, a sort of squared off "C", out of aluminum.
