    i was just wondering if anyone has used lucas oil stabilizer in their XS or XJ, and if so does it affect the clutches in any way?
    when in doubt...get a bigger hammer

    I have used castrol 10/40 or 20/50 for 27 yrs have a high miler bike now. Never used anything else. Bike was designed to use oil nothing else. Stay away from additives.

        I use it, and I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. After adding it, the engine settled down, the tranny shifted nicer...and ya. They say you can mix it up to 60%, but I use it 25% lucas, to 75% 20-50 synthetic. If the bikes dies, oh well...rides good for now.

          I have been using lucas in my bike for 3 riding seasons now. engine is quiter and trans shifts smoothly.no adverse affects on clutch performance. use 25% lucas to75% rotella 15w40. have about 10k-12k since the switch.
          when you want something bad enough, don't let anything stand in your way, and don't take "no" for an answer. EVER
