Custom Spedometer

Has anyone put on a custom Spedometer?

I saw JC Whitney has one for 40.00 that goes to 160 and is said to work fine with the yamaha bikes and spedo cable.

Theu also list a Tach and say it will work too.

Hey there Zen,
The description states that the faces are only 2 1/4" diameter, much smaller than our stock ones, the Speedo is mechanical, should work, and the tach shows wires sticking out the back, however the description does state "MECHANICAL" units, and the XS tachs are electronic, So....it might not work!?

As for a replacement or adjunct Speedo/Odometer, there is a link about the Bicycle one, electronic that is very accurate once setup properly.

Then select English, North America, Then bike computer, then you can access the PDF Instruction Manual file, tells you how to mount it on your "Bicycle"!

That JC Whitney speedo is what all the XS650 guys use on their street-trackers. Never heard a complaint or problem.
