Also the bigger tear drop shaped tank, and the alumimum trim around the seat as well as the sissy bar are exactly like my xj.

        John,
From what I have read, the T-Kat is no longer being made, but it was a popular bolt-on, particularly on the E, F and G models. The gyroscpoic action of the front wheel at high speed introduced enough torque force on the front forks to actally deflect them, which was a real drawback to hi-speed handling.
I would think that you could find a serviceable stiffener either at a bike wrecking yard or on Ebay. I'm not sure, but even one of the Street Tracker stiffeners that you see on the XS650's might adapt to the hole pattern in the front forks. Good luck.

Sorry Oldbiker, but you're in error, see recent post on Yahoo groups below!!

          The next run is finished.

Hopefully I've notified all who have requested info. And just as
hopefully, not all are still interested as I'll be broke again on 'em.

The only things left 2do are the XJ X-bars.

Shop work is gang busters again. One of my clients builds a machine
that handles holographic flash [ident] cards and has just got a big
          order.

I stand corrected, TC. I wonder if what I read was that the braces had been out of producrion for a while and now they are available once again?

Just recived new TKAT fork brace today.
There should be a law against riding without one.
              Big improvement!!!!!!!!!!
