    Tell the difference?

How do I tell the difference if I have a XS1100 standard or Special?

      DJ,
If your front wheel axle is on the bottom of the forks, it's a Standard, if the axle is a few inches from bottom, and mounted in front of the fork lowers, then it's a SPECIAL. Of course the plastic side covers with the word SPECIAL can also be a clue!
