Libertek flasher

I saw a post about someone using this flasher unit and am wondering how to hook it up. I have tried all combinations where the original flasher plugs in. Should this flasher be hooked up somewhere else?
I have called them 3 times in Canada and no response on tech question. I get the left side to flash and no power on the right.

This is all I'm lacking to be done with my restore except for putting the painted stuff back on. Sure need to fix this first. By the way I have a Vetter Fairing and all seems right up there. I have the pigtail wired in with the original sockets that were removed for paint, R & L running both work but only the left flashs. I have swapped the sockets around, so I know that flasher from the R works when plugged into the L wire.

I want to ride, if I remember how .

It's probably your turn signal switch, since a single wire comes up to it from the flasher, and the position of the switch plunger selects which turn signal operates.

There is also a small leaf switch on each end of the switch travel that starts the flasher.

Take the switch apart and clean the contacts good, and it will probably start working.

i know from experience that relays can be a problem.

the original relay i had would not blink at an idle. i replaced with same unit off of a parts bike and it will now blink even with engine off.

but previous to that, original relay would not blink at all until i cleaned the contacts.

Thanks, Losershoes, you were right about the switch, one of the solder joints had come off. I fixed this and I now have a L&R rear blinker, still no front on the right.
As I said before I have running lights on the front both work on run. L blinks, R doesn't. I have switched sides on the light and the R will work in the left, so I know it's not the bulb or socket. It seems the the signal to blink is not reaching the bulb. Any ideas where to start looking?

How about the connctor right there where the the wires come out of signal? Or a broken wire from there to the bar switch?

Also take a real close look at the bulb when it should be flashing, and see if both filiments are blinking slightly. If so it's a ground somewhere.

The front and rear are spliced together from the wire that comes from the switch for that side, so the problem is from the splice forward to the light.

Figured it out, this right side front blinker still on the floor in the check it before putting it all together. I had one of the pigtail wires plugged into the wrong green wire from the bike wiring harness, found the right one and it started working like it should.
For those of you that have a Vetter fairing you probably know the worst thing about how they are made is the electrical. I got a scare today after getting it all working. Doubled checked all connections then put them in the bag, stuffed and tied down then checked the lights again. Put all the electrics back in the fairing, hooked it up with jumpers with it still off the bike and everything worked as it should. Installed the fairing and everything still worked. I then moved to the flasher to wire it up permantly, I cut off the plug to the original flasher wired it up the same way as I had it jump wired it and the Left flasher worked like a charm, now to the dreaded Right flasher. When tripped it flashed the panel lights not the arrow indicator, It also flashed the tail light along with the brake lights when activated. The right blinker had now ended up not working. It was dead as a hammer.
I know the gremlins were laughing there heads off at this situation. I was looking for something to maim or kill then decided it was time to take a break before I actually acted out my fantasy.
AC sure felt good for about an hour reading all my manuals and checking out the site for like symptoms. Went back out to it, after only 3 hours more in my 100 degree garage I decided what the hell I would wiggle the wires to the right blinker in the fairing. The damn thing straightened out and worked correctly like there never was a problem. I think I'm going to make my own harness and new plugs and sockets instead of having these 27 year old gremlins for another 27 years.

Rodger that on taking a break when you feel like breaking things!

When I do the total tear down on my 80G, I will probably do a complete rewire also.
