  • Which front tire/tyre has best looking tread pattern??

Hi i know this is quite sad,i like every bit of xs1100 apart from the tread patterns on the front tyres.

Bike looks mean and angry and i've never seen a tread pattern that compliments it

I got a monster looking Bridgestone on the back

on the front i got a girlie looking

    100/90/19 Pirelli MT09 MATCH 57V

not many xs over here and ones i do see probably 3 different types of tyre on all of them

havn't seen a tyre that i really like so havn't paid any attention to ones i don't like to know what they are

so i came on here to ask what tyre do you lot think has a really
mean lookin tread pattern????so i can get rid of this girlie thing i got (like to keep it original size etc ,but may go for something else)

    tire

Barracuda not sure who made it though. I got it from JC whitney a few years back. Had a center ring straight around the middle with angled slots at 45 degree off the center looked very racy.

By "looks good" do you mean prettiest or best performer?

          Hiya guys,
          Just for comparison purposes:
On my XJ, I've got a Metzler Marathon Front (100/90-19.57H) and on the back, a Dunlop Elite II (Dunlop 491) MT90B16 74H.
          I'm happy (so far ...)

You want pictures, you got 'em!!

Except where their web pages use special CGI style html code for their photos instead of direct links, then you get the URL!

I wonder why I never thought of picking tires by how "manly" the tread pattern looked? Seriously, if you want a meaty looking tire at reasonable cost that also happens to be a good performer then I'd say the Cheng Shin Barracuda. These are a bit larger in cross section than the nominal size would indicate and stick to the pavement like glue. They also make a V rated version which I haven't tried but the H rated is a fine tire.
