  • Oil Lines anyone?

Well, I finally got my '79 running and now it is time to fix all the little things that aren't quite right. The first is that the previous owner had installed an oil cooler, no problem right? Well the way he did it makes me very nervous. He cut the hard lines on the back of the engine and spliced one in. So I was wondering if anyone had a spare original line laying around, and if so would you sell it to me? Thanks I just don't want to chance the top end of my motor.

I have a 78 1100 engine in the garage that has an oil line on it that should fit yours??? Since you have a 79 xs11 special it might cost you a picture of your ride and the postage? Need any other misc. parts? I have left over parts from a "renovation".

The oil pipe will fit all xs/xj 1100's. The banjo bolts are different lengths, (upper vs. lower) so make sure they go back in the correct hole. Also replace the copper crush washers too. That pipe supplies oil to the cams.
