OK, I've held-back as long as I could.
I read this on the 'other' XS1100 list. No offense is intended.

        The Horse and the Chicken

The horse and the chicken were best friends. One day they wer out for a walk and the horse got stuck in the mud. "Help chicken!" cried the horse. The chicken knew she couldn't pull the horse from the mud so the chicken ran for help. The chicken came upon a Harley Davidson with the key in it. There was no one around so the chicken hopped on the bike, cranked it up, and rode over the the stuck horse.
"Hang-on horse!" said the chicken. Using all the power and torque, the Harley pulled the horse out of the mud. "Thank you little friend" said the horse. "No problem" said the chicken, "that's what friends are for".

Sometime later the horse and chicken were out on another walk. This time the chicken got stuck in a mud puddle. "Help horse" yelled the chicken. The horse straddled the mud puddle, dangleing his "XS11( )". "Grab-hold chicken" and the chicken did. The horse pulled the chicken out of the mud.

I think they all are 1102cc. But when you are above a litre, 2cc don't make much difference.

Oh, so you are telling us that size isn't important?

                  Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

They're listed as 1101cc and 1102cc. Is mine bigger than yours?

Doing the math on the bore and stroke - 71.5mm x 68.6 gives a displacement of 1101.199..., YMMV depending on the precision you use for pi.

WOW...an XS12 (essentially). I bet the little chicken would've drown in the mud before she grabbed THAT!
