I have a UNI and what I do is just spray the UNI filter oil on the foam, get it saturated, and just kneed it in. When it gets dirty, just clean it in dish washing liquid and warm water. Wring it out, and allow it to dry. Then repeat the oil application.

Gonna go get some tomorrow and put the new filter in. The old one is a good one....forget the make right now, but I don't know how long the PO had it in. Got a new UNI, no reason to risk it.
