Thought yall would enjoy this story. Last night while riding home from my in-laws i was following my wife. She was about 200 yrds in front of me in the car. In the other lane coming towards us was a shiny new red lincoln navigator. In the ditch on their side of the road were three deer. The lead deer waited until the navigator was right there and THEN tried to make it accross the road. BAM. The deer is now flying towards me at about 50 miles an hour. i had slowed a bit when i saw the deer and commenced to apply HEAVY pressure to the brake lever and pedal when the deer became airborne. It hit the ground about 50 ft in front of me and skittered into the ditch, through the weeds, and into the trees. Heres the best part- the navigator never even slowed down! I looked in my mirror as he went by- no brakes lights, nuthin. Just kept right on goin. I've never seen anything like it- the deer litteraly FLEW about 100 ft before it hit the ground, and even then it was REALLY moving to make it clear into the trees like that. thank goodness i had slowed down a bit!
