compression

I just checked the compression and the reading were as follows

1=150 2=145 3=160 4=155

I did the test with the engine warm/hot and throttle open. Can this be right?

That sounds possible to me teck_mountain. It actually sounds pretty good, I believe. As long as the compression is somewhere over 100 psi and the difference between the four is no more than 15 psi or so, you should be in good shape.

It just so happens I was going to check my compression tomorrow... what a coincidence!

Service manual calls for
Standard: 142 psi
Minimum: 128 psi
Maximum: 156 psi
No more than 14 psi difference between cylinders.
(Readings taken at sea level, and of course, one must always take into account differences in the gauges.)
