    i am trying to convert my 79 xs 11 to a solo does any one know of anyone doing this before or am i stuck starting this from scratch i just bought this bike for my wife so she can ride with me when i am on my 81 specail she just has issues with touching the ground so i figured i would lower it an try to make it a single rider thanks for any help that can be given

      seat?

      Here is a seat they call an xs 1100 chopper seat it's lower than oem.

        I sort of made my seat a solo. I mounted a case (carry-on luggage) to the grab rail and let it rest on the passage part of the seat. Looks like cramp but makes such a good back rest that I can’t hardly ride without it.

        I have also looked at lower the back of the original seat. The black box is in the way. Thinking about remounting the black box in where the tool box is. Cable should reach and I never use the tools anyway. --- Well, I guess I’ll have to carry them in the case now that I jinxed myself.

        I just thought, mines a special, if yours is a standard it will probably be different.

              lower the front end

              You can also lower the front end about two inches by raising the fork tubes in triple trees.
