  • She Lives!

Been hard at it all day. I've got the old Maxim running, albeit rather roughly at first. Still waiting for my coils so it's been fired up with the h/t wires twisted around the plug tops for now. The float heights were miles out at 21-22mm and a couple were a bit bent, thet's now all sorted. I warmed the engine up and it was popping and reluctant to rev, so I gave her a couple of good handfulls of revs and it cleared right up and settled down to a pretty even idle, so I am well pleased All I need now is for my coils to arrive, some new indicators, a seat/seat cover, a number plate (license plate) and a driveshaft boot and then it's MOT test time.

Do you have a seat? I've got one that didn't sell on Ebay. It needs recovering but you can have it cheap plus shipping.

My seat has been savaged by the previous owners dog

I could really do with a replacement but I think the shipping would be a bit expensive for such a large item. I was looking to replace the damage foam on mine and fit a new cover, if I could find one.

A good appolstry shop should be able to refoam and cover that seat no problem. the seat I've got will need recovering as it has a couple of tears.
Don't mind the spelling, I never did graduate from high school. Had to go to work.

I can do the foam myself but I'd rather have a standard seat cover. Is there a source for new replacement seat covers in the States?
