Quick Gas Tank Question

Will a '79 Fuel Tank Fit on a '78? I'm looking at one on eBay now and wandering if it will work. I assume it will. It looks the same.

you will find most tanks are interchangeable,as the big square one will fint on the specials some of the lads in the uk have swaped for the larger tanks.

I am no athority, but from what I've observed while hunting for 81 parts is that the 70's bike seem to be very interchangable.
