Is my xs1100 a xs1100rh as I have been told. How do I tell.

Find the frame serial number on the steering neck and take to a Yamaha dealer. The US number are posted here, but since you are in Aus, might no apply.

the frame no should start with xs1100R then the no.
curved gold wheels
15ltr tank
little flat ajustable black bars
black handle bar fairing
1 peice seat no tail peice and black moulded pillion handles
slightly rear set pegs
looks like the xs1100s on this site.
if you want you can email me your frame no and i will tell you what you have got

Thanks for reply. The frame number I can find is xs1100r 5n5-000819 this was on the compliance plate. Everything else you said sound like my bike. I am actually restoring this bike.

you have a xs1100rh.make sure when you buy parts for this bike you state it is for xs1100rh as sum of the parts from stds dont fit.
ie
fork seals are not the same
front brakes are not the same
send me a email if you are stuck for things i might have it or know where to get it from

Hi Jim. Thanks for your info. Now I know my bike is a xs1100rh I will email pictures to the site of my rebuild. IF you or anyone else is interested I can supply details of what I have done so far to it.
