Anybody installed the thing on a standard... mine hasn't any and with these old bikes I'd like to know when to turn the lights off before I get stranded in the middle of nowhere...

If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.
(stole that one from I-dont-know-who)
On mine, I rigged up, several years back, an inline cigarette lighter
holder, and mounted it up around the headlight assembly. I have
a plug-in voltage read gauge, that moves back and forth, and around, shows all, tells all. Gauge is better, than just a light.
I have a gauge on my car, too. Have rigged up the same type of
holder with alligator clips, can be used on any kind of contraption.
I have a separate, ON/OFF, toggle, for my headlights, on XS, also.

This one is available through the Sears automotive catalog, I think Master Ho turned me on to it. Can be put in any cigarette lighter and has LED's for high, normal, and low.
