  • yics port opening in cylinders

How big is the yics port opening through the cylinders? While 2Fast was helping me with a carb sync, my Yics tool fell apart in the port and we weren't able to retrieve one of the washers. It's all the way down the far end of the tube and seems to be stuck there prety good. For insurance, we fit a stiff rod between the washer and the yicks plug bolt so that the washer would be held in place. So far no problems. I'm just wondering if it's even possible for the washer (which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the yics opening) to get into the cylinders or if the ports through the cylinders is smaller than that. Anyone rebuild a yics motor.

    Yucks!!!!!

I just measured the YICS openings in the bottom of a spare head. I didn't use a hole guage (to lazy to hunt for it) but the digital calipers gave me a rough reading of a little over 7.8mm. The washers on the YICS tool I built are a little over 9mm in dia..

    Hope this helps.
