    Hey JR,

    Instead of Golf Cart wheels, could you use trailer wheels, they are designed for heavy loads and come in 12" size and smaller, and are DOT approved?!

      Good Thinking T.C. I'll keep that in mind. I Figure if i can get 60 MPH out of it in 5th at a mid to low RPM i'll stick with the golf cart wheels. 60 MPH is more than fast enough for road use.

        Check your local tire shops. One of the name brand stores should have tires in that size. I know you can get trailer tires to fit, but you need to try and find a tire that will put the HP too the ground.

          Just thought, how about those nifty wide ATV tires? Aren't some of them able to be put on the road....licensed?

            Like you said DiverRay, I do want to find a set of tires that will really put the horsepower to the ground. I think it would be rather nice to see a golf cart just light up the tires. Yes... It will be good!

              T.C. you said "Wide ATV tires", are they made for the street, where did you see those? Thanks for all the info so far guys, you've all been very helpful!! If not for for you guys I'd be stuck in the mud spinning my tires and still be clueless ....
