      Hey Tazcu,

Well, being only 1 cylinder is good. Have you done a compression check? Still sounds like #2 is running too rich, but why is the question! Float set right, pilot jet and main jet are right on other carbs, should be right in this one! Aside from the pilot circuit, if the air pilot jets are clogged, could cause a too rich condition. Can you spray carb cleaner into the air jets in the inlet bell and hear or see it spray out into the bowl or the throat?!

Are you sure the float isn't sticking open; the needle seat seal properly sealing? Perhaps some other carb GURU's can chime in here!?

Yes, sounds like too much fuel to #2.
Or...what is the condition of your plug wires and caps? Could be that # 2 isn't getting consistant spark (fire, foul, fire foul...) You may have corrosion at the ends of the plug wires where the caps screw one. All the testing and swapping of plugs.... you may have fixed the prob on Plug#1 which I think you mentioned previously, but caused a prob on plug #2 in the process, Check the plug caps for 5K ohms resistance. Cut off a 1/4 inch of plug wire (If you still have the length to do so),, this will give a corrosion free end for the caps to screw into.

          just for kicks !

Hate to say it but have you tried a leak down test on her ? The old tried and true method of checking her health. Air out carbs =intake valves. Air out ehaust= exhaust valves. Air out oil fill pug= c-4 explosive... just kidding rings ! mine did the same thing. cyclinder 1 rings only 46k miles on it.

            forgot ! to add...

my theory is if the motor is a "pump" as people say, and on the intake stroke your not getting the proper amount suckion through the carb or carbs, the right amount of fuel won't get to the cyclinder for the big bang ! right? so all the time your working the carbs and settings, it just mite be a exhaust valve not seating of worn. any questions on this ask topcat!!! He's one smart cat! really... just tring to help !

Tweak the dark plugs' float a 1/2mm it may be a bit 'warped' - not quite bang on. popping on the over-run is most usually just one or two leanish idle circuits. Tweak em' out a little bit.
