  • How basic can I go?

I have no wiring harness and just want a bike to ride around the yard.

How much do I have to hook up (other than the fusebox, ignition, coils and resistor) to the ignitor unit?

you can go very basic, if you want.
connect the wires from the alt. to the reg./rectifier.
connect he wires from the pickup coils to the TCI box.
connect the TCI to the coils/ballast resistor.
connect a wire through a switch to the power for the TCI.
    Very basic, should run.

Hmm, just curious. Why would you want an 1100 to ride around the yard? Sell it and get dirt bike or scooter, eh?

Yeh what he asked. Better be an awfully big, flat, smooth yard or you will dump it on yourself. It can be very painfull don't ask me how i know that. Even if it doesn't land on you, it's a b!+ch to stand back up on grass or dirt.
There's always a way, figure it out.
