I dug in to change out the clutch and realized what my noises are. For starters the clutch assembly was loose and after digging a little deeper I now see the fork shaft gear is broken. I'm not sure what I have done wrong but obviously I did. Any ideas? I looked at Bike Bandit for a replacement but they say it's discontinued. I am now going to dig a little deeper. "ie" remove the pan and see what other damage has been done.

I'm screwed!!!! After digging into the bottom end I realized that the oil pump housing is cracked. @$#*%!!!!!! So, all in all I need a oil pump and a fork shaft gear. Everything else looks fine. Can you guys direct me or does someone have the parts they would be willing to sell. I don't know if I did something wrong or not with this. I think either I tightened the oil pump bolts too tight or one of the circlips on the fork shaft weren't inserted properly and this resulted. "Live and learn". I'm going to go call the local Yami shop and see what they can do. Thanks, let me know.

Don't call the Yami shop! Oil pumps are readily available, either on Ebay of from another member here at the forum. Chances are the gear you are looking for should be pretty easy to find too....

I'm with you. After calling two wrecking yards and the local Yami dealer, both telling me there was nothing, I thought I was screwed. This forum is great! Thanks,
