    1. carb boots new/used....mine are dry rotted
    2. side covers new/used....missing left side...would be happy with just replacing left side but will buy both if i have to.

also i need to find out how to remove the chrome piece on my front forks that hides my fork brace....its all rusted and looks terrible. appears to be molded into the forks.....dont want to tear up my forks removing this piece.

    Hey there Eclipse,

That name plate slides down over the tubes once you pull the top triple tree off! You don't have to pull the front end totally apart, but removing the bars, and headlight, and upper tree is required!

With regard to your intakes, if you've done the starter fluid or WD-40 spray test and found NO LEAKS, then replacement is going to be merely cosmetic. See the active thread on coating intakes, a nice layer of BLACK RTV will bring them back to nice appearance much cheaper than buying new ones!! They are available from many sources, partsnmore.com, Ebay, etc! Usually around $90 or so for a set of four!

Can't help you on sidecovers, most folks watch EBAY! I'm looking for one for my 79SF basket case, watching a set on Ebay right now!

    79SF "The Teacher" . . .basket case!
    History shows again and again,
How nature points out the folly of men!
