correction to....help!!!!! again!!!!

i have a 1980 xs1100 special .......as i said before i was getting ready to go for a ride......switched the headlight from high to low and lost my headlight and gauge lights.....shut the bike off and now it wont start again......i have a brake light and my nuetral light comes on when i turn the key on...also my blinkers work too.....i messed with it a little and i got it to turn over till it started i turned it off and then tried it again and it wont start at all......like im not getting power to the starter. please help....thanx

Sure sounds like a dead battery. Or at least bad chassis and engine grounds. Clean up the grounds and charge the battery.

Same thing happened on the 79SF

It was the headlight relay.

Jumped it per Dragonrider's instructions... lights came back!
BRIGHTER too!
