I've forgotten between which gears the spacer washer is positioned on the shaft. I went to put the middle gear and first gear back on the shaft and can't remmember where the spacer washer goes. Please advise. Thanks,
Hopefully you've checked out the links Excess11 posted, OR you found an exploded view online at the Yamaha Parts Catalog. The spacer goes on next to the circlip on the shaft, then the 1st gear, and then the Middle drive gear! The spacer/washer is inbetween the 4th gear and the 1st gear! Hope you got it already!?

Well.... I screwed up. I was impatient and put it together in the most likely spot (in my brain) and put it all together. It worked well for a while. I started it up and tried the first gear, all was good. So I then decided to take it out and run through the gears. Seamed to go through the gears fine. When I came back I reved it up a little and noticed a grinding sound coming from the clutch area. I adjusted the clutch a little and then reved it up again. When I reved it up it jumped into gear and landed on it's side. Yes, Yes, I'm OK and the bike made it with minor bruses. I now know what I did wrong. Let this be a lesson. BE PATIENT and wait for advise! I put the washer on the end of the shaft in front of the middle gear. Lick, lick. I learned my lesson! At least till next time. Back to the drawing board. Thanks,
