    feeling like an idiot

    Hey,

The idiots are the ones who give up and throw in the towel... You stuck it out and found an obscure thing which has to be extremely rare... Nice work! I'll be checking my fuel filters as soon as I see any gas near the carbs thats for sure.

      No kidding!

I can now slide the carbs in place, hook up the throttle and choke cable and have all the intake boots and the airbox boots clamped up and the octopus in place and the petcocks hooked up in slightly over 7 minuets! Who needs independent filters!!!!

I had a problem with my floats.. i just got done fixing them.. The float was actually Stuck, like.. not moving at all.. Fully stuck down, letting all the fuel in the world in.. I rebuild my carbs, WD40'd up the float pin, float itself, and THUROUGHLY cleaned it.. it then slid extremly easily.. then i rejetted for individual pods, as well as jetted for an single exit exhaust, went from 110/115 to 120/125's, (cyl 2, and 3 need a slight more fuel to cool them down..)

anywho, hooked the carbs back up, and it runs fine, No fuel overflowing out of my brand new filters.. its a good thing..
