Been years since I have visited this website. Tried to post to the classified ads tab but it doesn't work. (Won't show me any categories in the drop down box but then demands that a category be chosen before proceeding.) Figured maybe you've all decided classifieds here are o.k. If not, let me know where to post.

Have sold both the 80SG and the 81LH. Over the years gathered a number of items that I never got around to putting on the bikes or that were for service, etc. Here's the list and prices. I will answer questions or can email digitial pics of any of the items if you're interested. I think the prices are very fair and less than what could be gotten via ebay, but I still have a soft spot in the old ticker for the XS11 bunch so here you go:

Windjammer Fairing, very good shape, with vetter bracket for

FREE Parts (80/81) in Minnesota

Hey everyone. I'm back, at least for a few days.

Remarkably, back in 2005 I wrote the above "for sale" post. After selling some items piecemeal, I ended up finding a buyer for what was left for a grand total price of $40.00. He said "great," but when I met the guy at a local parking lot, he wanted to negotiate. As I thought the price was more than fair for what was left, I walked. I threw the box of parts under my desk thereafter, and believe it or not, that is where it has sat for the past 9 years.

As I was cleaning my office today, I came upon the box. I tossed the whole thing into the garbage, but then feeling guilty about having done that, I pulled it back out. I keep thinking there may be folks nearby in need of these parts, so here's your chance to save them from the scrap heap. I started searching for a way to track down Minnesota xs1100 owners and came upon this old site. Was able to log back in just to post this updated "for free thread."

So, if you are in the Minneapolis area and want the following parts, please email me (mark privratsky at gmail dot com). I'm willing to meet you in the north metro on my way to or from work, or you can come to my house this weekend, so that these parts may still end up on a restored bike. What is left in the box is:

Microfiche for 81XS1100LH Parts List (Oct. 12, 1984)

Microfiche for 80XS1100SG Parts List (June 7, 1983)

Two brake caliper rebuild kits, new, 2G2-W0047-00, 7k203L1 (with 1999 printed online instructions for installation)

Two K&L Fuel Petcock Rebuild Kits, both new, 18-5100, not sure if these each do one or two petcocks

Two large O-rings for oil filter housing, new in packaging, 93211-19413 on one, while other includes oil plug o-ring and is marked 60023 and 60024

Factory xs1100 rear brake caliper s-shaped wire hanger (these usually are lost from tool kits; are designed to hold up rear caliper when the wheel is removed so as not to put undue stress on rubber brake line).

4 fuses (looks like 3 30s and 1 10) and some fuse block blades (that like to break off), fit xs1100 (I believe) but sport a Honda part number, 98200-11000

Windjammer Fairing Vetter bracket for 81XS1100LH (might fit other Specials)

Windjammer Fairing wiring harness for 81XS1100LH (might fit other bikes)

One clutch cable, LeMans Pro Series, k28-2543, 10M-26335-00 (can't remember if this was for xs1100 or an xj550)

Turn signal stem, new in packaging, for xj550, 21-513

One pro series o-ring set for oil filter housing and oil plug for xj550, 011003A

Everything but windjammer bracket and wiring harness and fiche is brand new-old-stock and in original packaging.

Again, the box of parts is free to the first one that wants them. (If you're feeling like you want to do something nice for me in return, though, I won't turn down a six pack of beer.)

Edited to add:

I've had my recollection refreshed a bit by looking through other posts on here. Looks like it was 2007 when I tried to sell the remaining items; not 2005. Appears a handful of folks pm'd but all fell through at the then-sale price. As I said above, this stuff is now "FREE" to whomever local can meet to pick it up (short of the last guy who showed but then was a PITA ).
