Hey Opflash and Chevy,
That's right, it's just the acc. terminal on the fuse box under the right side cover. When I did my blade fuse conversion, I included that in the circuit, have my horns and aux. driving lights running thru it!

50w
50 watts is still only about 4 amps, not a whole lot when it comes to extra lights.
I know that T.C. used some LEDs to reduce the total current draw.Walt

I just reviewed my owner's manual, and the wiring schematics, and aside from the 50 watt rating for the aux. terminals, I can't find a diagram for the aux. circuit, so don't know what wire it's tapped from? However, the fuse rating says 10 amps, which would be around 120 watts maximum for that fuse!? I ran that circuitl thru a 15 amp fuse, the gauge of the wire seemed similar to the other main circuits!
But yes, I did an LED conversion for my brakes, turn signals, which freed up some spare wattage/amperage to be able to better handle my 50watt each halogen driving lights!

TopCat - I am curious about your fuse box blade conversion. I just broke off a fuse holder for the headlamps while trying to diagnose a short in that circuit. Apparently it got pretty hot and the one side snapped when I tried to might it grab the fuse tighter. Real bummer.
How did you do this conversion? Is there a place you bought the kit from? I'm SOL for now unless I temporarily rig a fuse holder on this circuit so I can trouble shoot it. It appear the fairing may be the cause as when I disconnect it, there is no short and I get my speedo/tach lights back and the fuse stays cool... I hate chasing shorts..Past Rides:

Fuseblock Conversion!
Hey Scott,
No kit really, but a more modern fuseblock that you can mount!
See this first tech tip and
then this second tech tip for photos and instructions and where to get one!

Del City sells the block for under $5 and when you got to the check out, they have a $25 min order limit! Even adding fuses and terminals and a second 4 circuit block, I'm only up the about $14. Hate buying what I don't need...and then paying to ship it too.
Do you have any left for sale? Guess I'll just do it...Past Rides:

Shhhhhh, Scott,
Your telling my secrets!! That's why I buy a block of 7 fuses blocks and resell them to the members at just a modest price to cover the extra expenses of shipping, remailing, Paypal! A recent member though wanted to buy 5 of them, so I told him about Del City, and he got 8 for the price he would have paid me for 5! IF you followed the links above, you would have read about HOW to order one from me! I also sent you an email stating the same. I can understand your desire to get things as quickly as you can, but haste makes waste.....
Sometimes you need to wait for responses here before jumping into action!
