Rechroming parts??

I'd like to get my case guards and luggage rack rechromed. I've done web searches but have no clue on fair pricing to get the work done.

Any ideas on who does the work at a fair price?? Plus what would a fair price be???

thats a big that depends ? i've seen prices all over the place.I used to work at a custom auto body place and people got their tralier hitches chromed.Just one of the many why questions. but the chromer we used was expencive and if you ask me not very good. Pick up a XScuse my french here harley type bike magizine and look at the ads,there was a place that specialized in bike chrome,cant remember the xsact name but they came highly recomended, Browns chrome three brothers,,can't remember.

I talked to a local shop about 45 miles east of my place. Action Chrome Plating in Mannford. I need to get my header pipes (only...not mufflers) re-chromed on Zilla. He said ...over the phone estimate...about $100 to $150 for four motorcycle headers.

Of course alot of it depends on how much work they have to do...how rusty is?

I told the fella that that my pipes are just discolored...no rust. He said that would be easy. But if rust is involved they basically have to remove it and buff the bare metal to a almost chrome shine before they actually plate it. Depending on how much muscle they have to put into it will determine the cost.
