modifying exhaust

Once again I humbly beseech the knowledge of all,
I have an 82 xj1100j. Would like to change the look of it a bit and get rid of the megaphone exaust.
1. is it possible to do this with out changing the engine preformance
2. where could I find either some straight pipes or turn outs that might fit.

A pair of Harley sportster mufflers would do the trick. They sound better too but the best part is that they're dirt cheap. Harley guys toss them when they first get their bikes in favor of something louder...

No jetting changes but it wouldn't hurt to drill out the plugs over the mixture screws and adjust the idle mixture.
