    New Member Question

I just ordered some Intake boots for my 79 XS11 SF from partsnmore.com, how long do they usually take to ship?

    Thanks

Heres a helpful little tip when reinstalling the carbs. It can be hell get them to pop into the boots, but if you have some Armor All, or something slick that won't attack the rubber, then apply that to the inlet of the boot, and the carbs will slip in much easier. Don't forget to install the throttle cable before the carbs are fully in place. Once you have the carbs in position, the move them to the left to slip the cable into place. Otherwise it's a b!tch.

John's comment is spot on! I might add that baby oil (mineral oil)is an excellent alternative to Armor All as a rubber lubricant.

Thanks for the tip- I have problems with legos ...ha ha..... It was always easier and faster for my dad just to do it or fix it rather than to show me how to do it.
