  • Garden tractor battery?

I was thinking that a garden tractor battery might be a good thing (and lots cheaper) for my 78E . I measured them up at Walmart and they look like the height and length would fit, but they are too wide for the battery box... too far toward the rear tire. Has anyone modified their battery box and tried one of these? The cold cranking amps is around 300 = lots of power for less than $50 !
