would not having the reserve sending unit in the gas tank plugged in keep the bike from starting?

No, that should not keep it from starting. What else has changed since the last time eit started?

      Hey Ken,

JC stated in his previous question about hoses that he's been suffering thru a winter long restoration, but what all he's done to it, we haven't been told? I'm going to assume a carb rebuild amongst others?? So...JC what's been done to it since it was running last?! Inquiring minds want to know!!

frame up restoration. It is basically an electrical issue of some sort, because the starter doesn't even click or anything. I will post a link to the chronological pictures soon for all to see. I am SO close it is killing me.
        ThanXS,
