  • Mufflers

I would really like 4-1's but my budget says no, so I am looking at some from JC Whitney fron $42-$70. Anyone try these, if so how do you like them and what style/size?

I am also looking on eBay for some harley style, any other soueces for cheap mufflers?
    TIA

My opinion of the ones I bought is that they are crap for the xs11. I bought the longest ones they offer and they are like straight through pipes with no baffles. I just couldn't tune the carbs without back fire into the carbs. I have Jardines and they work great on 2 bikes. You can do the Harley mufflers, but you may find torque loss at about 3000 rpms. They do work, however. (and cheap from a HD dealey from their scrap box of new parts.) You will also have to increase main jet size and fiddle with the carbies.
