It would almost seem to me that there might have been some old oil 'gunk' obstructing the oil pressure switch. The seafoam probably dissolved this gunk and allowed the little 'ball' in the business end in the switch to move freely again. An old timers trick to cleaning oil gallies and lifters in cars was to pour in a quart of transmission fluid, and run it for a few days before an oil change. It has a high detergent content, and will clean and free up stuck lifters after a while. Hmmm... I wonder what that would do in a bike...

I once had a vacuum modulator that was so badly ruptured, that my leaking engine was making oil. I couldn't figure it out until the dipstick finally turned red! The top end of that engine was very clean indeed!
I have also added kerosene to my oil before changing it. It disolves gunk as well as anything.Marty (in Mississippi)

I've been using Seafoam for a few years now. But what sold me on it was a salesman at O'Reilly's. He put a piece of charcoal in a can then poured Seafoam over it. Dissovled to pure liquid in a matter of minutes. This stuff is a real carbon eater.
