The front brakes can be a bear to bleed!.
    My suggestion:
Open the reservior, and fill it.
One at a time open the front bleed screws. I use an 8mm deep socket, so as not to strip the little suckers.
Using a piece of clear tubing, just let the fluid drain for several seconds, into a jar. There is no need to pump initially. Just let gravity do it.
Keep an eye on the reservior.
After letting each line drain for a while, while tubing is still attached to one bleed screw, with the screw closed just snugly, but not tight, slowly pump the lever several times. Hold the lever compressed and open the screw with an 8mm open end wrench.
After the lever collapses to the handlebar, tighten the bleed screw before letting the lever go back to it's relaxed position.
Do this several times on each bleed screw, until you stop getting air out of the line.
It is easier with a Mity-vac, but not necessary. Just keep an eye on the reservoir. (did I say that already) It sux to be almost done, suck in some air, and have to start all over again.

Don't pump the lever quickly, as this will agitate the fluid, causing very small bubbles to be mixed throughout the fluid.

One other suggestion: After topping-off the reservoir and attaching the lid, if the lever still feels a little mushy, wrap a rubber band around the brake lever/ throttle grip and leave it overnight. Any trapped air will often find it's way back up into the reservior.
    Good luck
