Xs 750 vs xj1100 frames

Good morning:
I have never partipated in a forum. I hope my protocol is Ok. If not please advise.
Can someone tell me if the XS 750 and XJ1100 frames are the same. I bought a mounting frame for hardbags for a 750 XS on ebay and I hope they will fit on my 1982 XJ 1100

I don't think they are. However the frame should be adaptable. You may have to do a little cutting and welding and re-painting to make it fit.

I just bought some Venture hardbags and frame for Zilla and I'm fairly sure I can make it look right. If not I'll put 'em back on eBay. But they only cost $90. New hardbags and frames from GIVI or National would easily cost 5 times that amount and wouldn't ... IMO...look very good.

Is the frame you got a xs750 standard or a xs750 special frame? I have some frame pieces for the standard model and a few for the special I am parting out a bike e mail me what you might need to make the conversion. I wish I would of know you needed a frame, I just threw out a 1978 xs750 standard frame because I could find no one that needed it.

Thank you for your reply. I don't need a frame I just needed to know whether they are the same because I bought a XS 750 hardbag frame and I wondered whether it would fit on my 1100 Maxim Thanks again and if I need parts I will keep you in mind Shane
