kk. I'm looking for a place to buy crash gaurds.. Would be the one piece set. Not after the case gaurds anyone know where i could find new ones? be for 80 xs 1100

Crash Guards.

I am assuming that you are referring to the larger one piece hoop style. The ones that were popular as after market back in the 70's. I have a set that I'm not using. They are not new but except for one small scuff the chrome is not bad. Send me a private E-mail off list with your home address and I will send you a couple of pictures to see if you are interested.

gaurds

saw the ones on ebay already.. Thought i saw that JCW had some last year. I would really like new ones, i have done alot to my bikle and have old gaurds with road rash on each side. Is there any place that sells new ones, or i would like a set that is in way good shape?

I checked DK and JCW, and there weren't many listed, and those that did show were for modern metric cruisers!! They are made by MC Enterprises.

There are a couple listed in their GARAGE section that are discontinued items and for sale to public. These are the two discontinued items, regrettably they don't show what they look like:

Otherwise, if you find a style you like, then you have to go to one of their distributors. I found one in St. George listed in their search program:

What you'll need to do is first find a few styles you like, then find out what model bike they fit, then find those bikes and measure their mounting points to see if they are close to being universal frame U bolt mounts, or bolt holes on pre-welded brackets? Don't limit yourself to Yamaha models. Hope this helps, good luck searching!?
