  • XS is bike show winner!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the NY ABATE State Party and found a couple of XS's competing in the RAT Class, here are some pictures. BTW the red XS was deemed the winner! (Rat Class=worst bikes) If the owners are here please stand up!

This bike was not too bad.....a little dirty maybe:

This bike was a little ratty but still an XS, bike had homemade trailer hitch and a big bore kit!

    For 66

Boy! ; YOU REALLY WOKE ME UP WITH ALL YER PICTURES, THIS
    FINE MONDAY MORNING.
The fellow with the red scooter DOES need to stand up.
!! Those are ACCEL 8MM wires he's got, that he's molded
into his coils. That job is on my list of "to get around to, and TO
DO" things. I've got the wires ready to do the job.
That job is shown with pictures , somewhere, thru the Tech Tips
links. Guys, don't lose those links. I think you are currently doing
some changes, on "TechTips"; hopefully, NOTHING! will be misplaced.
Also, that fine picture of your own personal scooter, on that other
thread, this morning, showing the Harley breather for the crankcase, IS ON MY EXACT SAME LIST OF THINGS TO DO, with
my own scooter. I also plan to run an "extra" one, with a hose
    from my cam cover.
I will learn how to do "these pictures" .

My brother has done that homemade trailer hitch on his VX800 Suzuki in '95. He pulled a big load behind, on his homemade trailer; he and I went to Raton. NM, that same year; me on my 81Special . Camped out for 19 days at the Whittington NRA place.

How do you tell , the Rat Class Red XS has a bigbore kit ?

Actually I gave him my card and hoped he would join up...he is running a dyna ignition system that does not use the black box. We need to know how this works.

Thanks anytime you need to see more pictures of my scooter just ask!! Since mine is an '80 it has the hole for the kickstarter wingnut theaded into the frame (but no provision for one) so I drilled a stainless hose clamp and attached it and the breather there.

His hitch came from a Venture and he modified it himself.

Umm..he told me, he installed a Wisco big bore kit.

        66 :

Yes;...... I'd be interested to know a bit , from the fellow, about
the dyna ignition system. No black box, etc.

Pretty neat; yer installation of the breather on your own motorcycle. I believe that exact breather is showing in the
JCWhitney catalog. As I sed, it's on my list of "to do's " .

You say you had given the RedRider, your card ; did you get
        his ?
