  • Will this effect mileage?

Here's a photo of what I found in the air cleaner when I did the dremel fix. I jumped off the ground and my friend thought I had tripped over something.

what do you mean by "dremel fix?" Is it something cool I should know about? Is that a bird or a rat? Kinda funny!

That's a dehydrated mouse. Just add fluids and serve...

The dremel fix is for fixing first or second gear when they "skip" during acceleration. Since the bike was new to me, I hadn't been in the airbox before I did the work this winter. That's when I met Jerry there.

I've seen nuts and seeds in airboxes before, but never the culprit. Although nothing beats firing up a bike that's been sitting for years and seeing old bones and fur shoot out of the exhaust.

There used to be a saying, "build a better mouse trap and you will be rich for life" or something like that. I guess you did.

                    simmilar but different

i bought a sled (snowmobile for people in the south) ran good, took it all over the guys yard before i gave up the dough. lifted it into my truck took it home, unloaded went for a ride bout 5 miles from home ,on the trails (middle of nowhere) started running bad then just quit.pulled the cord fired right up. keept going, bout 200 yards quit again, what the uck. pulled the cord well tried wouldn't pull, smoked a sigg trying to decide what to do. finished smoke pulled cord fired right up good took off, well 20 feet quit again no pull cord this time, walked home 5+ miles by now got truck went trail riding to retrive sled. got it home, turnned out being a mouse had built a nest in the finns of the head,(air cooled (was an old sled) a little fan was on belt driven by crank shaft so no air was passing through the heads actually melted the pistons, moral of the story i HATE MICE.

Hmmm... I guess your concentration of mice in the air filter XSeeds the recommended dosage by one.
But officer, it shouldn't count. It's dead!
I swear, it wasn't me, it was alredy dead when I found it...
Any of you guys know, when they check the exhaust emissions, do they check just for CO only or CO and DM (dead mice)?
Do you have to wait till it shoots out the exhaust and catch it on a plate when it's done?
I've heard of chicken ding (take chicken, put in microwave, when it goes ding, it's done), but mouse bang?

Good drawing! Glad he didn't work all the way through to the exhaust though. He wrecked the air filter and that was enough!

I guess I should be glad that's all he wrecked, considering what happened to that snow machine up thread. Now that would really give me cause to hate mice.

Danny, want some drawings for the books?
