      clean the tank!!!!

      Hi Madsin,
I used the smallest metal bodied automotive fuel filters I could find at PartSource at mebbe $5 each.
Look through the tech tips for ways to de-rust your tank and by doing so permanently lessen your problems at the source.

Check at your local bikeshop, they ought to have the little cone shaped filters (the shop I work at sells them for $3.50 - Emgo I think) They're clear, small, and easy to fit to your fuel lines.

I use fuel filters made for the old VW bugs. They're small, plentiful and cheap. They have stepped ends and I cut them back just behind the step for use on big bikes.
