has any one modded the center stand to fit with a 4-1 exhaust?

Hey there Jessie,

What's wrong with your Center Stand? I have a 4-1 set, and it runs thru the opening between the centerstand and frame. The set came with a bracket that I bolted to the left side passenger peg support, and it kept the center stand from slamming up too far, by making contact with the lever that is part of the centerstand.

Don't worry about being too wordy with your questions, it's actually better to provide as much info about the problem and things you have already tried, so that we don't suggest things you've already done, and we can get a better idea of what's happening, etc.!

I need to modify my centerstand for my 81SH due to the 4" over length upper front tubes I put on, caused the bike to sit up quite far, and I can't use my centerstand without putting a 1" block of wood under it first, so I need to lengthen it. Fortunately I now have a welding machine, just have to figure out waht gauge of metal it is, and the best place to add length!!
