I bought this XJ last year and is running great. Problem is I went to change the front brakes could not find any at any of the shops. They said they could order them. I checked on line at PartsNmore and when I pulled up the XJ brakes they dont look the same. I went and looked at the XS brakes and they look the same. Is there any way to tell which bike I have?

I would use the colum to the left of your screen. There are many visual differences between the XS and the XJ. Post a pic. What does the seriel number start with ( 2H3, 2H7 etc.. etc..)S.R.Czekus
1-Project SG (Ugly Rat Bike)(URB)
1-big XS patch
1-small XS/XJ patch
1-XS/XJ owners pin.
1-really cool XS/XJ owners sticker on my helmet.
2-2005 XS rally T-shirts, (Bean Blossom, In)
1-XVS1300C Yamaha Stryker Custom (Mosquito)
1-VN900C Kawasaki Custom (Jelly Bean)

I have had good luck using Bobs cycle supply, no complaints yet.
They have XJ1100 front pads for 24 bucks per rotor.
The picture of the pad is not the actual pad, but they did fit my bike.

I looked at the pictures on the side and it looks like the xj. The vin starts with JYA. Maybe partsnmore just have the pictures wrong. There price is $14 per side which is the best price I have found. Our Yamaha dealer wants 26 per side. Thanks for you help.
