  • Tire sources in Canada

Hey, Canadian XSives. Does anyone have recommendations for tire suppliers in Canada? I should replace the skins on my 78E and although we can get new Dunlops for about $60. U.S. each from some suppliers South of the border; shipping, duty and taxes would probably be excessive. I sent an inquiry to Parts N More, but they're not planning to add tires to their product line. Anybody have any experience importing tires?

The best deals I have found on this side of the line has been at the Yamaha/Honda dealer about this time of year. Right now, they're fully into snowmobile mode and not even thinking about bikes. Catch them on a Saturday morning and get the parts guy to take you into the back where they've got the tires stored that didn't sell last summer. Hem and haw a bit, and ask them what kind of deal they can come up with to convince you to take one or two tires off their hands. This is also more or less how I picked up my Shoei helmet for _way_ below retail.

MAWONLINE has a blurb on there site about Canadian orders doesn't look to hard but certainly not as easy as ordering from the US. Prices appear at a quick glance to be much better the Kinpex.
