    THANKS ALOT for going to the trouble of showing the difference in those seats. There's a significant difference between those two seats.

    I did notice your "stock" seat wasn't the stock cover. My experience with most recovers hasn't been good. Many local upholstery shops will use material that has a soft foam inner liner that rests on the old seat foam. This "double foam" layer usually makes the seat way too soft and mushy.

    I'm gonna investigate that Diamond Seat a little more.

      Yes, it could be the recover, done by PO, made the seat worse than stock. BTW, click on the photos themselves to see how the seat fits on the bike....

      Next time I have the XJ out I'll take a few more photos. One thing that makes the Diamond more comfortable is the deeper 'bucket' with a straighter back than the stock seat. That extra height at the back, and less of a lean angle, adds quite a bit of support and comfort.

      Seat took about 500 miles to 'break in' and get really comfortable.
