  • Idle Mixture Screws

SWMBO's F finally has the carbs off and inspected...and, of course, the outer 2 carbs have the tips of the idle mixture screws broken off and stuck. Assuming I can get them out (I've been down this road before, with my XS750), does anyone have 2 extra good ones, or is there still a source for these?

    TIA,

It is also possible to chuck the broken screw in a drill press and machine a new point. Have an unbroken one handy so you get an idea of the shape you want. Do the grinding with fine files and wet or dry sandpaper.
    YMMV....

Thanks TC, I checked out Bike Bandit also and about choked on the price...but it's probably going to have to happen. I'll worry about it after today...leaving soon on a nice, long, end-of-year ride with 60s and no wind today.
