has anyone ever seen an add on centerstand
that bolts on the frame near the front of the motor
I got a 79 xs standard, full dressed, that came with one
it may have been part of a package, because it looks like it is part of the running boards, looks like it is aftermarket

I had a Goldwing back in 1980, and there was a mail order company that used to supply a center stand type arrangement that mounted near the front of the engine. I think it was called a "ride off" stand. I never saw them made for any other make of bike though.

I checked into it a little farther....it was called a Reynolds Rideoff Stand and they were made for many "touring" style bikes. I'll try to find a picture and post it.

Looks like that thing has seen a few Maine winters, and someone rode on a salt covered road. At least that's what my old cars looked like after a few winters up there.

i can't seem to get it up onto the aux centerstand
did it once but cant seem to get it again
just to darn heavy

Maybe if you got the bike set up on the stock center stand, you could lift the front and pivot the front stand down. It might be good for front-end work instead of using a jack...
