78 pilot jets

Does anyone know if the XS650 uses the same type of jets. I know the numbers are different. MikesXS 650 web side has them for the 650 only and they look the same. I need to get a set of 45's.

Hey there KTC333,

Xcellent question! If you will note this picture from the Blaine's Tips, it shows that Pilot jet, "C", with a pronounced tapered tip, which matches the BS 30/96 model on Mike's XS pages, as well as the same model style on Bike Bandit! You don't want the VM, they are more blunted, and the wrong size!


I verified the Yam. OEM #'s on their catalog, and the 79SF 1100 jet = 256-14142-42-00

The Pilot jet for the 79 650 same size 42.5 was
256-14142-42-A0......looks the same to me!!!!
