    Skunk works

Here is a peak at my latest project. The bike is my prototype platform. Once I get all the bugs worked out, I will transfer it to a running bike for testing.

Looks like someone is having fun on eBay. Which triple clamps and steering head bearings are you using?
    I like the color!

I have my local bearing guy looking for a set of bearing that will work. Both are fairly standard size, just no the same on both bikes. Yep, eBay is a wonderful place to pick up leading edge technology for pennies on the dollar. I picked up all the parts, including brake calipers and master cylinder for $400. I am now waiting for a rear tire and wheel to come a long. It's like fishing.

        R1 Front End

You will certainly have a lot more whoa power than before. Should even "feel" that front tire "plant itself" going into corners over the spindly XS forks.
Are these forks long (tall) enough to provide adequate road clearance. I'm likely wrong but from the picture they appear to be shorter than the XS forks. You will only be able to gain so much clearance playing around with triple clamp placement.
Happy trolling on the Bay. Go land another lunker!
